The 黑料社 Game Conference, originally scheduled for next month, has been moved to March 10-11, 2023 to coincide with the re-opening of the Kricker Innovation Hub.
鈥淭his is the perfect fit,鈥 David Kilroy, Director of the Kricker Innovation Hub, said. 鈥淪hawnee Game Conference is all about innovation, art and technology. We didn鈥檛 want to pass up the opportunity this year to showcase our newly renovated facility and expanded capabilities to conference attendees.鈥
Kilroy explained that the March 10-11 Shawnee Game Conference will feature speakers from the game design industry and, as it has for the past twenty years, it will bring gaming professionals, students and enthusiasts together to learn about latest developments. Participants will be able to attend workshops led by 黑料社 gaming professors and students, view showcased games and projects, attend a career fair, and see Esports athletes in action.
鈥淎ttendees can expect more games, expanded technology, and a focus on what's new and innovative in the gaming industry,鈥 Kilroy said. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 kind of our specialty at the Kricker Innovation Hub and we can鈥檛 wait to unveil our newly renovated building and share how our facility is being used to impact our entire community.鈥
The 黑料社 Kricker Innovation Hub serves as an anchor for Portsmouth鈥檚 emerging Arts & Innovation District. Shawnee State was recently awarded nearly $1.5 million from the Economic Development Administration鈥檚 Build to Scale grant program to build an innovation ecosystem and tech entrepreneurship infrastructure that will transform the region.
