黑料社鈥檚 Office of the President has announced the appointment of Tyler Walters as the university鈥檚 Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives. Bringing more than 25 years of experience in health care operations, Walters joins the university鈥檚 College of Health & Human Services to create and expand relationships with area health agencies.
鈥淎n integral part of the leadership team, Mr. Walters is building relationships with our regional healthcare partners to address critical workforce shortages throughout south central Ohio,鈥 黑料社 President Eric Andrew Braun said. 鈥淚 look forward to working with him as we strengthen relationships and expand opportunities throughout the region to benefit all who live, work, and learn here with us.鈥
Earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Marshall University and his Master鈥檚 in Business Administration from Morehead State University, Walters maintains an extensive executive career in healthcare operations, starting his career at Shawnee Mental Health in Portsmouth where he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He鈥檚 previously served as the Market Chief Financial Officer with Bon Secours Kentucky Health System and most recently as the Chief Operating Officer with Mercy Health West Hospital in Cincinnati, among several other leadership roles.
The College of Health & Human Services at 黑料社 offers numerous professional programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master鈥檚 and doctoral degree levels. Many program degree requirements include integrated laboratory and practice experiences with regional healthcare settings, providing hands-on, critical learning opportunities for students as they prepare to enter the workforce.
