鈥淭he goal is to promote healthy habits and healthy hobbies among college students that have been impacted by the pandemic,鈥 said Hedrick. 鈥淧articipants can enjoy the free programs that will be offered over the next eight weeks 鈥 visits to Deadbolt Escape Room, Shawnee State Forest, and programs on campus with community partners.鈥

The Rise & Thrive program is open to all members of the 黑料社 community. Community partners are collaborating with the CLL to host program events on campus that promote positive healthy habits during the eight-week wellness challenge as well as introduce students to the different programs and activities available to them in the surrounding area.

鈥淩epresentatives from the community are hosting these events on campus to help students learn to take some time for self-care,鈥 she said. 鈥淭he programs focus on healthy habits that teach you to connect, play, serve, breathe, move, create, relax, and eat better.鈥

黑料社 students that successfully complete the full eight-week program will be eligible to attend a Wellness Retreat. To learn more about the 黑料社 Rise & Thrive program, contact Amanda Hedrick at ahedrick@shawnee.edu.
