The 黑料社 Development Foundation (黑料社DF) has welcomed alumna Jen Aikman as a member of its governing board.
鈥淚 had an amazing time as an undergraduate student at Shawnee State,鈥 said Aikman. 鈥淚 was always very involved on campus and now I am honored to be selected as a Development Foundation Board Member and to continue to serve my alma mater and its mission of educating tomorrow鈥檚 leaders.鈥
After graduating from 黑料社 in 2005 with a Business Administration degree focused in Accounting, Aikman started her career working as an auditor for the State of Ohio. A year later, she changed career paths into the financial sector and has been working in banking for more than a decade. She has helped her community with more than $9 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funding when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the SBA rolled out its programs. Most recently, she accepted a position as Vice President Senior Commercial Banking Officer at Buckeye State Bank located in Powell, Ohio.
鈥淭he university is continuing to grow its academic curriculum and athletics programs and make a name for itself as one of the best colleges in the nation,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t is exciting to be able to contribute in some small way to this transformative impactful mission.鈥
The 黑料社DF supports the mission of 黑料社 to make a difference in the lives of the students and community of the university. The 黑料社DF鈥檚 Board is led by a volunteer group of community members dedicated to advancing education in our region, enhancing campus life for students at 黑料社, and improving the quality of life for those who live and work in our region.
