A junior at 黑料社, Rebecca Blaine is majoring in Primary Education within the university鈥檚 School of Education. In her first three years on campus, Blaine has loved her experience connecting with classmates, participating in campus clubs, and building connections in the classroom setting with kids.
鈥淚t was close to home which made it a really good choice and had affordable tuition,鈥 she said, on her decision to attend 黑料社. 鈥淚 have a lot of friends who are going here, and through that have made a lot of friends being here.鈥
Blaine鈥檚 favorite part of her time at 黑料社 has been connecting with others through campus jobs and clubs.
鈥淚鈥檓 president of W.I.S.E (Women鈥檚 Initiative for Strength & Empowerment) so I love being able to interact with other women and empower them,鈥 she said. 鈥淚鈥檝e made a lot of friends here, so it really has made me feel a connection to the university itself.鈥
Within her degree, Blaine has appreciated having the opportunity to connect not only with her classmates but with the students in the classroom that she hopes to one day work with.
鈥淩ight now, I鈥檓 in a classroom where I get to work with the kids and see the improvement that I鈥檓 making and the impact they are receiving,鈥 she said. 鈥淏eing able to meet them builds that connection and lets me see what I鈥檓 going to eventually be doing with them.鈥
